Posting skis

What is the easiest way to post my skis (3 pairs - I have a bag that they all fit in) ?
La Poste or Taxi or Ski shop ?

background:
We will be in Belle Plagne until 29th Dec :D
Then we have to return to UK :(
Then we will be in Sainte Foy 13th->20th Jan :D
Finally we will return to Belle Plagne on 20th by taxi :D :D :D

I will not have a car when I arrive in Sainte Foy, so I want to send my skis on 29th Dec.
I do not know if there is a weight or size limit for La Poste, or what sort of packing I need?

- La Poste : They will not ship any box over 2 meters and you must pack your skis by yourself. On top of that some post offices refuse to handle because they do not like oversized boxes (more workload...)
- UPS : Just fill the online form and UPS takes care about the rest (What's the cost ? I don't know)
- Taxi : Hum... probably very expensive but why not.
- Ski shop : I didn't know you could ship skis through a ski shop ? :o

I would be you I'd try La Poste first, because if they accept it will probably be the cheapest solution.
Good luck. :) :)

Thanks Cricri - I didn't think of UPS!
I will do as you suggest and try La Poste first.

I have a friend who transferred his skis through Intersport from Austria to B.P., but it depends on the proprietor of the shop - whether he wants to help or not.

That's the main problem with unusual packages and with your three pairs you increase the difficulty. :P
Don't worry if the Post Office refuses, some agents suckcs and/or are lazy. Just try an other office in an other place (the next village or town).
